WITH A SAILING LESSON.

Craig's life on the water included 22 months circumnavigating the world aboard SY Jugra with Tengku Idris Shah—then the Raja Muda of Selangor and now Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, Sultan of Selangor.

He later spent ten years cruising the Pacific before returning to Australia and opening a sailing school in Sydney. It was there that the first experiment leading to Aqua Warrior began.

It was there that Craig began experimenting by placing an inflatable trampoline on the water. The students would sail out to it, tie their boats alongside it, climb aboard and stop there for lunch.

The following year, he added more obstacles.

Watching the children move between sailing and the inflatables revealed something bigger. They were active, challenged and building confidence on the water—and they wanted to keep going.

The original vision for Aqua Warrior was not simply to build another water attraction. Craig wanted to create an obstacle course on water that could become the foundation of a new school sports program—something active, challenging and completely different from traditional school sport.

This was before we knew an established aqua park industry existed. We developed the concept from our own experience and created our own operating model without an existing blueprint.

Since 2012, Sasa has helped transform that original vision into Aqua Warrior—building teams, strengthening the operation and helping shape the experience through every season.

As Aqua Warrior proved what was possible, other operators followed with similar business models. We kept moving forward—designing and building original obstacles that no other aqua park in the world offers.
